Pillowcase Pattern

Today I made a pillowcase for my daughter's room.  We are getting closer to actually having her room ready :)

To make the pillowcase, I measured a pillowcase that I already had.  A finished pillowcase has dimensions of 18"x 28".

I had 2 fabrics I wanted to use so I cut 1 - 19" x 8" piece and 1 - 19"x 22" piece from each color.

Next, I sewed the right sides of the fabric together.  To do this, I first attached the small piece of fabric A to the large piece of fabric B and vise versa.

Then, I sewed a hem on the open side of the pillowcase.

Finally, I sewed the whole thing together by facing the right sides of both pieces together.

I love how it turned out!
